In an SOA world, should infrastructure and development continue to be tightly-bound to server-specific implementations and languages? Even my current favorite Ruby on Rails is based on the “old way” of doing things.
When you look at what Amazon is doing with their web service offerings EC2 and S3, it is clear that this is where development and the industry are moving.
