From the site, http://fritzing.org - "Fritzing is an open-source initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to take the step from physical prototyping to actual product. We are creating this software in the spirit of Processing and Arduino, developing a tool that allows users to document their Arduino and other electronic-based prototypes, and to create a PCB layout for manufacturing. The complimenting website helps users to share and discuss drafts and experiences as well as to reduce manufacturing costs."

Micro-ish-payments at a Turning Point?

Are Micro-ish-payments at a turning point? It seems like the shareware model has struggled for years, but iTunes & AppStore have been training us to accept music, apps, and content priced at close to $1.00. For example, SocialSafe, an app that enables you to backup your Facebook data is priced at $2.99. 5 years ago, it would have been marketed as shareware or sold for anywhere between $24.99 - $49.99. Now, at $2.99, SocialSafe seems perfectly priced. Interesting.
